A unity of tradition, quality and freedom
Handicraft in the true sense of the word turns each watch into a living combination of tiny unique parts.
The long manufacturing time puts the watchmaker into a close relationship with "his" watch, which he brings to life and passes to the owner. The relationship with the movement is at the core of our work. The required means remain in the background, yet in their essence they are close to the work.
It is this particular approach that makes each of Haldimann Horology's creations unique.
When I close my eyes I can still see him in front of me: the master watchmaker who was my instructor.
His loupe, hands, and lab coat remain vivid memories for me today. I spent my apprenticeship years in his wonderful workshop as a clock and watch repairer, learning how to restore new and old masterpieces.
Among this magnificent blend of art and technology, combining craftsmanship and intellect, I soon developed the ambition to create such masterpieces myself. Today, the next generation has passionately entered the art of watchmaking, bringing their own visions while continuing the family tradition. As their mentor, I now pass on my knowledge and experience to them, guiding them as they leave their own mark on the art of watchmaking.
Design, manufacture, and production are all executed in our own workshop, which enables us to combine art, technology and quality at the highest level. Haldimann clocks and watches are all individual and unique pieces. We can therefore consider all your ideas and suggestions when creating your very own timepiece.
